Earth Day Dance and Education

Many moons ago I was inspired by joyfully dancing near the sea with a variety of Nia communities for The Semi Annual Global Water Dances. It was a rush to feel and see the elements of salt and air to then conduct meaningful motions of cleaning the sands of microplastics.

There is much to be learned about natures dance floor, as well as the impact we have on ourselves, each other and especially our environment. The Earth is our home and we must keep it safe for ourselves and generations to come.

This year for Earth Day join us on Friday April 19th at 9 AM MT at Kathryn Albertsons Park Rookery park pavilion to dance for the Earth and direct our power of positive intensions to educate ourselves and plan for the future of a clean lifestyle and planet. After we dance we will have a discussion on pollution, microplastics the environment as a collective and our personal wish lists for our year to come and what we can do on a regular basis.

Come as you are, leave with more information and a plan!

Nia November Retreat 2023

YOU ARE INVITED!

Who doesn’t like a road trip?!

Join Britta Von Tagen, International Nia Trainer, Black Belt Instructor and Nia for Children Specialist, and Kellie Chambers, 3NGT Trainer, and 2nd Degree Black Belt Instructor to our 3rd annual Nia November weekend retreat: the Art of Change.

Join us to dance, connect with your playful spirit, and enjoy the beautiful Columbia Gorge as we explore the change of seasons and embrace change in our lives!

Embracing change is a healthy skill for our human journey, a testament to our adaptability and growth. As we navigate the ever-shifting currents of life, we discover the beauty in embracing change, for it opens doors to new experiences, lessons, and the profound transformation that shapes us into who we are meant to become.

Last year’s event was magical.  We laughed, we played, we danced and explored.  Most importantly we connected in such a joyful way.  The beautiful thing about Nia is that no experience is required.  Each of us brings our unique self at each stage of our lives to enrich our community.

Together let’s move, and explore, encourage and inspire, share and support in our welcoming Nia community as we embrace change together.

The weekend begins on Friday at 4:00 pm to check in at The Society Hotel in Bingen, Washington. Our first session begins at 6:00 pm at Samahadi Yoga in White Salmon. Our wonderful weekend together will commence on Sunday at 11:00 am. The retreat includes movement sessions, optional indoor and outdoor group activities, community dinners, a few surprises and lot’s of fun!

Global Water Dances at Cannon Beach 2023

Join us for our yearly trip to the Pacific Ocean to dance and raise awareness of our immediate environment. Learn and sense the metaphor of movement in our bodies to connect to the movement of the planet. You will leave this early summer experience with a heightened frequency to last the rest of the year and hopefully a lifetime. . We are designed to be the stewards of the Earth, lets make it a daily practice just as we care for our bodies.

This year we will dance to live drum and hand pan music with a genre of flow through the spinal cord like water currents.

Practice of the routine will start online at the end of April. Email me to register.
